Questions about the programme? We can help.
Ulmarud is a workshop-based platform for learning how to write and evaluate business plans. Most questions participants ask fall into a few predictable areas — how assignments work, what feedback looks like, how sessions are scheduled, and what happens if something goes wrong technically. This page covers those areas directly, without filler. If something is still unclear after reading, the contact details below connect you to a real person.
Common questions, answered plainly
These are the questions participants ask most often before and during the programme.
How are assignments structured across the workshop?
Each workshop is divided into sequential modules, and every module ends with a practical assignment directly tied to that module's content. Assignments build on one another — the financial projection exercise in module four, for example, draws on the market analysis completed in module two. Skipping ahead is possible but not recommended.
What does feedback on submitted work look like?
Feedback is written and specific. Reviewers comment on the logic of your arguments, the consistency of your numbers, and the clarity of your assumptions — not just whether you completed the task. Turnaround is typically within three working days of submission, though this can extend during high-volume periods.
Can participants join from outside Ireland?
The programme is fully online and accessible from any location with a stable internet connection. Live sessions are recorded and made available within 24 hours for participants in different time zones. All materials, exercises, and communication tools are browser-based and require no software installation.
What happens if a technical issue interrupts a live session?
If a platform issue disrupts a live session, it is rescheduled at no additional cost. Participants are notified by email within two hours of any confirmed disruption. For issues on the participant's end — such as connectivity problems — recordings and session notes are always available as a fallback.
Is there a deadline for completing assignments?
Each cohort follows a fixed schedule with submission windows for each module. Extensions of up to five days can be requested once per workshop. Participants who fall significantly behind are contacted individually to discuss options — the goal is completion, not penalisation for genuine difficulties.
How does the collaborative exercise component work?
Several modules include peer review tasks where participants exchange drafts and provide structured feedback using a guided template. This is not graded but is tracked for completion. The collaborative component is one of the more consistently valued parts of the programme, according to post-workshop surveys.
Getting in touch with the support team
The support team handles enrolment queries, technical problems, and questions about specific assignments. Response times are fastest by email for non-urgent matters. For time-sensitive issues — such as a problem accessing materials on the day of a live session — phone contact is the more reliable option. The Dublin office operates Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30 IST.
Email queries are answered within one working day. During cohort start weeks, volume increases and replies may take up to two days. Urgent technical issues reported by phone are addressed on the same day where possible.
What participants say about the experience
Feedback collected after each cohort consistently points to the same strengths: the specificity of assignment feedback, the practical relevance of the exercises, and the responsiveness of the support team when problems arise. The programme has been running since 2017 and the support process has been refined considerably based on that accumulated feedback.
